So...
Here we are again. We meant to have a small trip which evolved to a bigger one. Two big capitals - London and Paris.
Having in mind the spirit of keep it small, we booked with easy jet. First time we are flying low cost. We paid for one suitcase and we saved seats. We packed on the weekend but only this morning we thought to check the weight of our big suitcase. And it exceeded 20 kg and the trollies are very small so in the last moment we added one more bag.
Already on the train we noticed that the flight was delayed by 40 min. The security checks are on terminal one. This reminded us of old times. I think 15 years or more since I went there. After the security and sending the luggage we are taken to terminal 3. No big shopping - only shoes for Yoni. We ate our food, ran a little and finally embarked the plane. The seats are simple, no option to lay back but plenty of room for the legs. I was happy not having the stewardess all the time checking and going and coming and stuck with the food in front of us. The children and Yoram slept, I was listening to music. All in all we arrived ok. We didn't know that there is a need to fill in a boarding card with details of the flight and ours and we lost our bus. Since we arrived to Luton the way to London is longer and we decided to book a bus from Israel.
Outside around 9 degrees. Yoram - my hands are frozen.. Tamar - my face is frozen. Yoni and Amir complained less. We waited an hour - inside and outside -but at least we used the coats which I consider not to take for several minutes while trying different packing options.
We are tired and partially excited as we always switch suddenly between work and vacation and there is no time to mentally prepare.
Hope we will have tomorrow a fresh start and enjoy our stay. The queen is waiting.
