London must see part 2 - London Eye, Westminster Abbey, Russel Square and a failed attempt to visit the British Museum

Today we had some ready-made plans. We bought tickets in advance to London Eye at 10:30.
Ioana woke early to finish the blog and even she had tried to wake up all early, we emerged the house in a rush. We took the tube - everything is close to the house. The supermarket where we buy bread in the morning and Victoria station.
We made it on time to the London Eye. I do not know if the fast track tickets helped or not (there were not so many people), but we just walked our way in the capsules - no waiting time at all. The view is nice. U get some explanation from the tablets on the skyline or just look through the window. The ride is not long and when finished we decide to stop for a second to have some coffee.

Pret a Manger has many branches here. Tamar settled for a fruit cup while the parents shared a muffin.
We wanted to visit Westminster Abbey and thought this was a good idea. Well it was not since this was the worst thing for the children. Remember we bought SIMs yesterday? Well - looks like there are many Pokemons in the church at least. Yoram and I had the guided tour and Tamar had a children trail quests that kept her more or less busy.

From there we went to the British Museum, an additional bad decision. The bus stopped in front of Primark and what can u do - this is fate. Therefore, we went in and purchased a new coat for Tamar who is not willing to wear the one we come with. And black skinny jeans of course. Hungry and tired but convinced not to be defeated by those basic sentiments, we walked towards Russel Square. We will rest in the sun for a moment or half an hour and then with new energies we will be able to conquer the museum. On our way, we saw CoCo, a japanesse/chinees shop who serve bubble tea. This is not tea with sparkling water but pearls tea. The pearls are big black tapioca. The beverages are served in plastic glasses, closed with a lid and u get a big straw (so the pearls can come through). Amir took a hawai slush (mango and passion fruit) and we had a black tea with milk with pearls. Very nice and our first time.
Interesting that children are planned exactly the opposite from us. When we got to the park, they recharged the batteries and started to run around, when we started to walk to the museum all of a sudden they were tired.

The entrance to the British Museum is free of charge so even we knew we would be there for no more than 30 min we decided to get in. Maybe something will draw their attention. We got no far then the first recommendation on the guide of 10 things u must see - the roseta stone. Nobody was impressed by it but us and the other tourist taking pictures from all over.

It was around 17:00 and we decided to split. I went home with Tamar to eat and the boys went with Yoram. We took the bus and saw on the way an umbrella shop. This can really be found only in London.

The boys took the 55 bus towards the nearest McDonalds near Oxford street where Amir had a cheeseburger, chips and coke for 2.85£ (less than 15 shekels, very cheap). Then we headed to the again nearest Italian restaurant Stef's. We sat next to a very long table that waited for a group of 20 noisy Brits, who were celebrating something. We shared pizza and spaghetti and brought home half of the dish, although it was very good.

Then we headed to the tube but we stopped by a sports shop where finally Amir bought a pair of sport trousers. There were many street shows on Oxford Street - playing rap music and beat box. Finally, after more than 2 hours we reunited. All is left is to fight over the shower (it is not that all wanted to get in, but the opposite).
