The circle day - 3/8

Last day in the big apple. As a closure to the city adventure, Yoram arranged for us a good bye tour from New York - a boat sailing around Manhattan ( with circle line). The tour was nice for the first 45 minutes and then we just went back all the way.

There are several observations worth to be mentioned: first the captain who was also the tour guide was very verbal; second the symbol of the Statue of Liberty is greater then the statue itself and third the UN building thrills Ioana every time she sees it.  

We decided not to buy the photo they shoot with us at the beginning of the cruise. ( we will fund a best use of 35$).

Then we walked towards the high line. It was 13:00 and very hot. However a plan is a plan and a men's got to do what a mans got to do. So we stick to the plan and went the whole thing till Chelsea market. On our way we found an open interactive exhibition where some artist built Manhattan from lego bricks and the passing by could participate and add something of their own. 

Unfortunately Tamar needed to go to the bathroom and no bathroom on the high line, so we all went several blocks to find a restaurant. We found a cafe with Arabic workers who sell cosher food. Go figure. The Lego building was short but we went back to the high line and walked till Chelsea market. Small other attraction on the way  was a men sculpture with water flowing out of his mouth. 

The high line is nice and it is worth a walk but probably better in the evening. 

Chelsea market surprised us. We expected an open market, instead all is inside and with air condition. I am pretty sure the prices are not cheap. It remained Yoram the Jaffa port area ( sort of). Anyhow we wanted to eat at Fridmans which is a not Italian gluten free restaurant . No idea why most of the gluten free restaurants are Italian. For the kids this was no less then a tragedy. Tamar didn't find what to eat in spite of the variety of sandwiches , salads and hamburgers. The chips was good and the salmon salat that Ioana had was wonderful. From here we were tired so we decided to went home to rest before the night out. Ioana stopped on the way to buy some Dermalogica products for her and Avital and then walked home alongside Broadway. 

It was already 17:00 and after such a hot day Yoram and also Ioana both went to sleep.  The latest wake up a little bit edgy and somehow the young and happy couple stopped talking till the day after. Meanwhile the bags get packed and all was ready for the departure. There was no night party after all
