They indeed all woke up around 2:30 in the morning. Ioana shouted not very loud (she was more or less asleep) that Yoram should take care of the mess. On and off all woke up around 5:30. So the breakfast preparations started. Each children at a time (why not doing it 5 times in a row instead of all together). The kids wanted to taste bacon and eggs and both Yoni and Tamar were more then happy with it. The toaster in this house is a special one with Minnie and Mickey. So Amir ate toast with Minnie and then Tamar wanted also and Yoram...
At the end all ate and at 9:00 we emerged from the apartment heading to the American Museum of Natural History. In the metro we read a little more and decided to exit one station before the museum to see Dakota building (where John Lennon was shot) and the nearby "strawberry fields" garden in Central Park..
The park was so great in the morning. Nice wind and the shadows of the trees made it very cool
(in-spite of the heat that started to melt people while in the sun). We met an Israeli tour and the children were happy. They also saw some ice cream booth that had something like frozen "barad". Of course they tried it but it turns out to be grose so they threw it away.

We entered the museum at around 10:00 and went out at 14:00. So many things to see. Yoram was the guide for the visit. He explained to the kids a lot and they were very interested. Some of the halls are more impressive then others. The biotherm was our selection. To see the dinosaurs and the blue whale and the space history was very interesting for all. We even had lunch (big mistake but probably nothing else to do). The boys tried the traditional macaroni and cheese dish while Ioana ate chicken and chips. Tamar had nothing special to eat so she took rice and she found strawberries with cream. Yoram look at all not hungry (????) |

Well, the big water fountain was a big attraction. From time to time high jets of water were shut in the air high and all got wet and happy.
We rested a little bit on the shadows, ate some ice cream and coffee and started to walk towards the fifth avenue through Columbus square and the Central Park. Here we were prepared with the game the boys bought yesterday and enjoyed the breeze. People were actually lying on the grass with very small bathing suites... (go figure)
When we felt we had enough power we crossed the park straight towards Apple store in fifths avenue. We and hundreds of peoples where walking across the tables. And a lot of watches were sold... (not to us)
Tamar had a problem with her shoes so she couldn't wait to reach the outlets to get a new pair. That's why we are on the fifth avenue- to visit Nike shop and get a new pair full price...
Very very tired (it was 21:00) we walked home and before dinner was served all fell asleep.
Yoram, it reminded me of the nature museum in Norway... Rememer?
